Is there a way to stop my gerbils from biting my hand?

I've had three gerbils for a while now and at first all of the would crawl right up into my hands but now on of them (uachtar) she nibbles my hand when i pick her up to but her in the backup cage so i can clean the main cage. How do i stop her?
